Girls got cleaned up and pictures taken today.

Why does everybody sound like they were intimidated by the R3 the first time they rode it?
I can't be the only person who did a wheelie in the parking lot while leaving for the test drive. :sneaky:

That is only because you were heavy on the throttle.:)

Picked up my R3T new from the dealer( biggest bike I've owned before was a 750cc) without a test ride, drove right out into traffic for an hour long drive home. Got off the bike (couldn't believe I made it home alive) was just as excited (and shaking) as the first time a girl touched my pee pee!!!

Think I'm going to need more power so I can get that same feeling back again!!!

I did a wheelie as soon as I was outta sight of the dealership. Not intentionally mind you. The test bike had Tors and I guessing the secondaries removed. I snapped the throttle open at walking speed to "see what she had". Quite a surprise when I almost went over backwards. Was not expecting that from an 800 lb. cruiser. Needless to say I was sold. I would have to agree with JAG on the pee pee thing. :p

On my first test ride I don't think I was intimidated as much as was impressed! Of course, it was just the touring model. What did put the fear of God in me was....how am I going to tell my wife I want one of these. Now that was scary!

I had been looking at the Rocket for about 10 years or so umming and arring as to whether it would be a good idea. As the years passed and ownership of various bikes including a Triumph America, ST1300 Pan European, Gl1800 Goldwing - managed to pull a wheelie on this one leaving the Dartford Tunnel toll booths and scared the crap out of myself !! I was sat on a site for 8 hours only for job to be cancelled and its true what they say about idle hands. I was googling Rockets and things and within 2 hours had arranged PX with a Yamaha XVS1300 and delivery to home address. No test ride, didn't even see the bike. Had to make sure the wife was out and work cancelled on delivery day... Best decision I ever made buying this bike!!
