AS STATED NO NEED TO LIFT TANK ON R3T WHEN FITTING GIPRO , DID MINE ABOUT 3 WEEKS AGO AND HAVE FOUND A BIG INCREASE IN GRIN FACTOR . YOU WILL KNOW WHEN ITS WORKING RIGHT .
My CEL cleared itself on way home today. Still have surging at part throttle. Still no noticeable power boost. Maybe my butt-o-meter is just too old to notice 7%.
The R3T is still a hella bike, tho, even w/o a GiPro.
I reset GiPro to #2 when I got home...see what it does tomorrow.
Ride in to work today on setting #2 was GREAT! No surge, no CEL...all is right with the world.
I'm pretty sure my butt-o-meter is in fact just too old to notice 7%. Might be related to my frequent switching back and forth to riding my Hayabusa....Nah, I'm just old. I admit it.

I myself like setting 2....I did however notice a "surging" in setting 3 as well when steady on the throttle. I think this setting is for "racing" or pretend racing and only for short runs not cruising. So when I cruised it would surge as yours did. I then tried setting 2 and that works as well.I have since went back to 1 and only use the otheres when I want to tear up the streets a little
I am currently running the TOR's with K&N filter and factory tune for the pipes..I am planning on installing a Gipro this week...My question is, if I remove the secondaries, will I have to get a new tune?..Thanks in advance to all ....Larry
The factory TOR's tune uses those secondaries to richen the fuel mixture by closing them a little rather than increasing fuel delivery. So if you take them out at this point you will need something else to richen the mixture particularly if you decide to go with triple filters at the same time ... Power Commander, Tune ECU or Tuneboy.
If you have a shop you trust and do business with that has a dyno, I suggest you contact them to see what type of system they deal with. Most use Power Commander and dyno tune with it.
The GiPro won't require doing anything to the fuel mix, but you are just about at the point where anything else you do, will.
Thank you for your response...That's kind of what I though, but I wanted to make sure..I think I'll just add the GiPro to what I have, and leave it at that...Thanks again for your input........Larry
