OK then so I've just ordered my GIPRO ATRE.But I know I'm likely to hit problems fitting it, I assume it will come with good instructions but as I have very little hair left anyway I'm looking for tips on easy fitting from all you guys who have done this already. Is it as easy as this thread makes it out, some people seem to have had trouble & that's what I'm trying to avoid.
The classics as I have been told are simply a plug and go..instructions are acurate as only the R3T had 3 wire plug as opposed to your two plug...A suggestion would to be to acquire a small long screw driver and perhaps magnifier if necessary. Then you will be able to click release clasp and pins come out easier.Took me less than an hour with help from a friend who works as a mechanic and is not coloured blind!!!
Really it's very easy even a moron can do it (I should know cause I are one).
I am no brain when it comes to things mechanical and especially when it is combined with those electrical jelly bean thingos and I completed the job in about an hour.

The hardest part is getting the wires and terminals out from the existing plus. Unless you have great vision, use a magnifying glass to see where you need to release the tabs.
You'll like it alot Georgia.
It ain't hard at all.
You'll need a short stool to sit on,
at least 1 good nerve still intact.
The only few things to remember are these,
1) the wires mounted to the screwon plate don't have alot of slack in them,
you'll have to get very close to the bike to work on getting those pins out.
2) it's the plug at the top and the easiest one to get to.
3) you will need a mini flashlight to hold in your teeth,
or something similar to see some of the pins,
4) a VERY small screwdriver Like for glasses only longer than the one I have.
directions are pretty simple.
If you have any problems,
there's enough of us on here who've done it, we can help you out.
