Reading your post and wanted to know do you lads install your own tires or do you have it done at the bike shop. Back home here a shop won't install a tire that you buy on line and if they do they charge a arm and both legs with no guarantee they won't damage your rims. The other question is if you do install how hard is it on a scale of 1-10?

The 240 cannot be done at home. FUGETABOUTIT! Pay the price for a GOOD shop to install the rear on the rim and balance. I am replacing my front in the next week or so and I will let my Kawasaki dealer mount and balance it for $25.00. Its worth the price. I have been buying tires from www.rockymountainatvmc.com for a couple of years now. Great prices and fast delivery. I buy a lot of Dunlop Sportmax Q3s for the sport bikes. And my dealer can't or won't match the prices.

Team, this is the Touring forum -- Tourings don't have a 240 -- and Tourings have 16" wheels vs. the Roadster's 17".
One dealer near here has the same punitive pricing for tires not purchased there. Their loss.

YES. I use it on my Standard. Normal speed handling improved a lot. The only drawback is super high speed handling is a bit wonky.

Thanks for the feedback. 
I'm thinking that I'll be going back to the Michelin Commander II in the 140 size, which didn't exhibit that sort of squirrelliness at speed, just as the B'stone Exedra Max 130 I currently run does when pushed, too.

My original Metzeler's rear only lasted about 9000 Km. With the Avon, I got about 15000 Km until I had a flat. This current tire should give me between 15 to 20K and that is riding with two passengers. These are nice tires even in the rain, wise choice!
