Gauges dead while riding, now won't start

Thanks both, that’s very very helpful! I’ve been pulling my remaining hair out trying to figure out the wiring!!

The purple wire that has a disintegrated crimp was under the tank in loom coming from the gauges where the purple wire from each gauge joins to one purple wire at a loom junction. From the video and wiring diagram there appears to be another join further along which I’ll check after first checking that there is 12V at the gauge end or not.
 
So this appeared when I’ve stripped the loom back, just going to repair now and see where we get to!

Yeap, that's the problem right there dude

That's the single purple wire from fuse #3, and it's broken right where it joins up to a bunch of 4 purple wires (under that bit of blue insulation) exactly as per video post.

I’m only measuring 3v out of the wire that comes from the fuse box. That’s probably not correct?
