I had a little fun with a FZ1 today. I was riding on the Cranberry Highway through Buzzards Bay,as I saw the yellow bike pull out of a store on the right. He looked right at me as I was going by the store and he ripped it to catch up to me.

We came to a light and he pulled up on my right, I looked over and gave him a nod. The light turned green and he went for it. I did not expect it, so he got the hole shot on me. I hit it, banged 2nd, the front wheel came up, I stayed in it and passed him and pulled up to the next light. He pulled up on my right, the light goes green he nails again, this time I was expecting it and got the hole shot he was at least 3 bikes behind me as we went around a long sweeping right. I slowed quickly just before the light due to a car pulling out on my left. He pulls up ahead to the light so I pull up along his left side and see it is a FZ1, the way I smoked him I thought it was a FZ07.

He looks over and he was laughing and says; "Holy Crap that thing is fast" I said yes it is and I like your bike, thinking it was a FZ07 and then I notice it says FZ1 on the side and I said OH CRAP that's a FZ1 and I laughed. He laughed we did the fist bump thing, the light turns green and I pull the wheel off the ground and leave him behind again. This bike is a blast.

Yellow sounds like a Gen 1 FZ1. The Gen 2 stock is capable of 10.5 sec 1/4 mile. I had one for a while. It would easily beat my R3....

There are a lot of guys like you on this forum. Some one tells a good story about their Rocket and someone like you tries to take the wind out of their sails or tries to take them down a peg or two. Some of this petty crap I have read is enough to keep people of this forum.

I applaud this drag race between an 800 lb plus bike and lightweight liter bike. The Rocket and its rider did its job. Why knock it?

Main point here is we can hold our own against most bikes and as said when they see an 800 fugly bit of steel showing them the way or staying beside them the look on their face is priceless
Good job RM you did us all proud.
Thanks Scot.
