Seafoam is the Pledge of fuel additives. it solves the problems you have with alcohol in the fuel as well as the problems with gas without alcohol. you can even use it in your coffee. Seriously it does help with gumming up of carbs and injectors. It has freed up the carbs in my Magna almost every spring. it seems I would learn to drain the float bowls.

Before all the modern additives Metho was a good thing in the petrol tank to mix with any water that had got in the tank from condensation or as you say a bad dose of fuel
 
Never heard of this stuff in Aus
 
I use 98 RON every time with hi compression but will settle for 95 if i have too.
 
92 Ron/mon us method. Gas is so cheap in the US I see no reason not to give my motor the best I can find.

On the other hand pre-carp I did use 89 daily as it ran the best with it.
