Fuel tank distance

Hi every one
Had my R3 three weeks now only used it round town as yet while doing some mods.Any way anybody can give me some feed back on fuel compsumtion ie tank capacity .Mpg and what sort of distance you get on motorway .cos so far why i expected it to be heavy on the old nectar it more scary tham wen the Wife goes on JD at a rally

Hi - hope you are enjoying the bike. I have a R3 classic and I can go about 150 miles on a tank full [every time I fill up I zero the trip 1 on speedo]- no idea how many MPG

You can probably get anywhere from 24 to 42 mpg - and that is on the little gallons in the USA. There are a lot of variables, including altitude and attitude.

If it's pure touring mileage on an unmodified rocket, 180-200 should be possible. When the gasblight comes on I have about 1.25 gallons left before it's time to take a walk with a can.

Around town, in Honolulu traffic I get about 21mpg, but that's pure stop and go + significant traffic + me being a bit of a hoon. Freeway is a little over 40mpg, though, there literally isn't enough road here to do a full tank freeway lol.

Since new mine gets about 30 mpg commuting and about 40 mpg on the highway at 75 to 80 mph. Times 6 gallons will be between 180 and 240 miles to empty.

Be wary, from "ran out of gas empty" to full my roadster only took in 5.7 gallons, it's 6 gallon tank but a little is unusable.

I get about 300klms on the hiway and about 200klms when having fun in the twisties
