fuel pump filter

Is there a way to remove and clean the tea bag filter on the fuel pump of a Touring? Mine appears to have dirt or something in it and I would like to clear that muck out.

Not sure what you mean by tea bag filter.

You have metal gauze at the pickup, it's like metal wool, to catch big stuff then an inline filter which is non serviceable, it's cheap enough to replace.
