Triumph rocket 3
Hi, bought my rocket last year its an 11 plate tourer, brilliant I love it. The only decent run I've done on it is we went to the North West 200 last year, and a trip up to North Wales ( I'm based in South Wales ), and a trip to Portsmouth, oh and Cornwall. Just recently fitted fog lamps and now my fuel gauge isn't working anyone have any ideas ?

Make sure you have a good independent WIRED Earth for the foglamps. What happens if you disconnect them?

The R3 ime is VERY sensitive to earth faults.

Every time I ever unplug my speedo, my fuel gauge acts up for a short while. It reads empty even if the tank is full.
It corrects it's self after a couple short rides.

Changed tune, now my gauge goes straight to the full mark and sticks like velcro. I unplugged it earlier and it started just going crazy, then finally settled down and began working properly again, turned the bike off and let it set for awhile, decided to look again and sure enough, turned the key, flipped the switch, guage is back on the full mark again. Tryed going back to stock map but nothing changed so I reloaded 20220 and started probing for voltage. TuneECU was showing 1.83V from SU and I was getting no reading at the plug for the gauge. Couldnt probe the plug going into the tank.

Welcome from Germany!
Not sure of any fuel gauge issues as I'm on a classic. It has a light that shows half tank, and a sputter that says, hope it's downhill to a petrol station from here! ;)

Give it a tank or two to fix itself.

Decided I would hook tuneecu back up and go over things. Fuel Sensor Voltage was .87V tanks is full minus 18 miles worth. code p0460 was tripped, (fuel level sensor circuit malfunction) so now I dig for info referring to what is causing the code... cleared the code and the next time I ride I'll check it when I get home to see if it's re-triggered but filling the tank has not changed anything this time.
