Thanks, i have the old style clocks so it doesnt display a range of that is what you mean?
Actually that is not what I meant. From the factory the odometer is fairly accurate but the speedometer is optimistic by about 7%. If you use a program such as TuneBoy or TuneECU to make the speedo read accurately then the odometer is off by the same amount. Your problem is that the fuel float is reading wrong and says you are out of fuel when you still have 7 litres remaining.

Thanks, thats quite a large variation.

@1olbull If your speedo is spot on then you likely have a tune that has altered the the factory setting. This also changes the calculation for the odometer thus the error is now in the displayed miles.

Correctamundo, English Bob!
The ECU has indeed been altered by my tuner; however, not the speedo. It fell in dead nuts with the GPS when I went the Excedra Max rear tire.
According to my checking at several 5 mile speedometer checks, my odo under reads distance by .4 mile, which should equal 2 miles per 100. So my overall mileage is actually 2% less than what the odo reads.

My math says 8% based on your numbers

You must be using that old BSW (British Standard Whitworth), Mate!!!
Seriously, once again you be correctamundo!
I used a .1 mile error over 5 miles and then checked my notes and found it was actually a .4 mile error.
I then changed the .1 to a .4 and forgot to change the percentage!
HEY!!! I'm ***in' 68!
