Started yesterday replacing my heated grips for new ones which took awhile but finally got them on and been messing with the air box and can't get it back together reckon I'll try again tomorrow
If you're talking about the plumbing that hooks to the throttle bodies and runs to the air filter box... you're a better man than me trying to put that back together...lol Good time to switch to 3 K&N filters... the ones that fit under the bear claw so you don't have to cut the claw. That's what I did... however I cut the claw later to expose the filters. I read before hand about how horrible it is to put that back together so I ordered the filters first then removed the plumbing. I've never have even actually tried to put all that crap back on....lol
Jay do not under any circumstances put that stock air system back on, in fact, anyone who still has it installed listen very carefully, buy two pounds of high-quality TNT put the air system on top of the TNT then light the TNT
Part 2-Buy some K&N filters or ramair you will be glad you followed my instructions.
Jay; the bike works a lot better with the RamAir. Plus you can just slap the BearClaw on without cutting it. You are going to loose mpg/range but it is worth it.
Haven't had to mess with anything air box yet on my R3T; even when I had to replace the internals under the tank for my OEM heated grips (which didn't go near the air box)... but have kept this in mind. It will be a consideration in the future based on family priorities. Until then I'll keep learning from everyone here. I'll be watching to see how the puzzle comes together...

Had to pull it off to undo the throttle cable
Need to get it back together for the New year ride
