Front Accessory Socket No Power

My front accessory socket is dead, I've checked it with a meter and there is no continuity between fuse box and the center pin in the socket but fuse position gets 12V coming in, got continuity from the body of the socket to negative battery terminal and that's it. It's supposed to be live all the time and I have checked it with the bike off, on and running.
Any ideas?

Problem is either bad fuse/connection or in wiring between fuse and socket. First thing confirm fuse is good than start tracing wire until load power.

Already checked all that and it's down to a bad connection at either fuse box or socket. According to the service manual it's a pink wire which is right on top of the bundle so I stuck a pin in it and it's getting power with the fuse in, no power with the fuse removed so I know it's the right one. Looks like the problem is at the front. I'll just let Triumph fix it when I go in for my 600mi service.

Mine has no power whether the bike is on or off. The manual says it's permanently live but limited to 5A when off to avoid charging devices draining the battery. I only checked with a meter since I don't have a plug for it, maybe it has to sense an actual load before activating.
 
I believe the manual is wrong--they probably copied and pasted from another model's manual. On my Tiger the front socket is live and the rear socket is switched, but on my Rocket 3 GT the front socket is switched and the rear (add-on) socket is live. The service manual for the rocket shows both a switched accessory circuit and a live accessory circuit. I keep a GoPro connected to the front socket and it doesn't drain the battery with the ignition off.

It's also weird that the owner's manual specifies 5 amps for the front socket when the fuse is 20 and the (add-on) auxiliary socket's guide also specifies 20 amps.
 
It says that it limits current draw to 5A when the bike is off so when it's on it probably goes higher. But at any rate I'm getting a proper charging plug tomorrow and then I'll know for sure.
 
@Protonhound My socket is working well. It is switched as others above describe and I only measure a voltage when bike is on. Sorry to hear you are having issues. Hope it gets sorted soon. I am on the hunt for the auxiliary socket on the side for my heated clothing, though I like the idea of using it for bike battery tending as well.
 
When I go in for my 600mi service I'm getting that side aux power outlet as well as TSA, sport windscreen and heated grips. I use Gerbing heated gear as I like to ride as long as there is no ice on the road and want the side power socket for that. I already have the Thunder Box under my seat as well and need to fish the cable for my Zumo XT2 under the tank to it. I guess I finally have a use for that endoscope that's been sitting in a box for years. I don't use phone mounts so that front power socket will likely never get used anyway but it should work.
I have the Gerbing Vanguard heated gloves, which are amazing, but I'm pampering myself with the heated grips for those times when I use regular gloves and a little heat would be nice.
