To map the 2500 Rocket, you must use a BT module (yes, the LX works) and now you just need to sideload the Android app to your phone or tablet to go into the app and purchase it. TuneECU for Android

I'd suggest not using some ratty old android device with low cpu power and RAM, you really don't want it to crap out mid-load...

I'm new to TuneEcu (but not new to EFI Calibration). I compared the Penner tune (US_Rocket3_GT_Full_Power_31013Map) to the stock tune and there are no changes in fueling at wide open. Just the removal of the throttle restriction. Do I have the right tune? I thought it was supposed to take out some rich points for better WOT power. Both Moore and TTS played with WOT fueling on their videos. Moore didn't show what changes he made, but he went from 162hp to almost 172 with fuel tunning after removing the throttle limits.

The file I have also runs rich at cruising TPS/RPM, which should gain nothing (other than increased fuel consumption) in a modern engine with good combustion characteristics.

If this is the tune everyone loves, then great, not going to argue with success, just wondering if there is a "latest and greatest" tune I'm missing.

As you saw, he increases the fuel in the mid range but not at the top. He has posted that the stock map was rich at the top and didn’t need more fuel. Note that people are getting 170+ rwhp with Penner’s unrestricted tunes.

You should also check out Penner’s newer tunes for vins after av5456. The US GT F table removes some fuel at the top end. There are some inconsistencies in his maps. I would copy the tables from the newer US GT map into the older one, assuming your vin is before AV5457.

Is it possible you didn't successfully load his tune? The difference is very pronounced.

All of Penner’s maps are for stock bikes.

To answer quickly, the only real difference is the percentage of opening of the throttle which is restricted on the original map and "normal" (i.e. 100%...) on the Penner. I put the Penner in but I'm not sure that it is recorded correctly because, with the OBD LX, we cannot have the information...
In any case I will try to recover an optimized Penner map for my type of exhaust without catalyst with a member of a French forum. Thank you for your feedback!

Sorry, I don´t agree.
The slightly richer cells at cruising speeds will smooth out throttle reactions, cause less heat, and even reduce fuel consumption as the combustion is more efficient than at lambda1 (afr 14,5).
In fact I played it safe and there are gains with an otimized (leaner) fuel at WOT and high revs. But it is at best 5hp with a stock bike and in most cases even a little less.
It will only be more if you remove the speed cutter and compare it to a restricted bike in the upper gears. (I agreed with Alain to keep the speed cutter active in my public maps. But everybody with a common licence can pay him some extra bucks to have it removed.)

Newbie here but want to upload the maps from my bike so I can see the values etc using TuneECU but.... Bluetooth adaptor doesn't even give me the option and with a cable the upload is greyed out... Any ideas
