Free unrestricted maps for Rocket R GT and TFC now online

I don’t think he has the pro version. I may look into that top speed limiter later. I’m most interested in full fueling. So do you think these tunes bring the R and GT up to the TFC? Originally it was a tad more powerful.

With the standard license, he can register up to 5 specific bikes. The professional license is unlimited. I just read from the developer that you can remove the speed limiter with the standard license but you have to pay extra. Don’t know how that works. The R and GT maps are the same. The only difference in the TFC map is that the high end restriction in the electronic throttle table is raised from about 61 to 76% (at 100% throttle). This means that when the grip throttle is 100% open, the throttle plate opening is 76%.

In the Penner tunes, the relationship between the twist throttle and throttle plate opening is close to linear at the top end, e.g., 80/80, 90/90, 100/100. This is where the huge increase in max power at WOT comes from. The stock TFC rev limit is at 7500 rpm vs 7000 rpm for the R and GT. Penner’s dyno charts show max HP at around 7000 rpm so maybe this difference doesn’t matter. Perhaps with more high end fuel or ignition advance, you could get more power above 7000. Penner does add fuel in the main (F) fuel tables between 2.4 and 41.7% throttle from 900 to 3750 rpm. I don’t know what this does. Low end power? Smoothness? No changes to the ignition tables for the All Markets TFC tune.

I think the 2.4 to 41.7% is to combat the factory Lean condition and enriches it up a little.

The TuneECU upgrade from last week (5.6 I think) now includes speed limit removal in the base license... Still no idea why anyone wants to run the risk of an Avon popping at high speed!

This is from Alain Fontaine on Facebook:

Version 5.6 is online (Tuneecu.fr), but only for Android devices version 6.0 or up, the Android version 4.x or 5.x must still use the App 5.5.

What's new ?

You can now pay the license in the App by PayPal and be registered immediatly

- No need to fill the register form, only click "Buy" button

- No more issue with the seller PayPal account

- Registration immediate after the payment

- For latest Triumph models, possibility to remove the Speed limiter without the Pro license (with an extra cost)

Of course the devices with Android 4 or 5 have not access to this features.

You're right, appears you have to pay extra for the function. Can't seem to find out how much though... Probably somewhere between base license and Pro license...

I just downloaded the Penner map for my 2021 Rocket 3 GT and I plan to apply it in the near future, but I'm curious if anyone has removed the speed limiter as well as applied the map? I am curious as what steps to take to do both and if anyone has an order to do it? I'm new to this and want to make sure I don't mess something up.

See my post above with quote from the developer. Have you already bought the app at TuneECU.fr? All instructions are on that site. He says you have to pay more to raise the speed limit but no specifics on how or how much. I would email him at meeouf@gmail.com.

Yes, I purchased the app, registered the bike, and found the option to remove the speed limiter on it. What I am unsure of is how it actually works when I go through with it. Will it change the existing map on the bike? I want to put the Penner map on, but haven't done it yet. I want to make sure I don't spend the money to remove the speed limiter and then flash with the Penner map and undo what I spent the money on. I will contact the developer. Thanks!
