For science... Have you been able to wheelie your new rocket 3?

Not sure it counts as a 'wheelie' as such, but while test riding the R it did lift the wheel in first and second (revving it to somewhere between 4-5000 rpm in first). Probably no more than a couple inches but i heard and felt the 'thud' when the front wheel hit the ground again.

Old thread I know but I was just looking around and stumbled on this. 2016 r3r came up on me this morning downshifted when a car came into my lane. Thought I hit 3rd nope 2nd twisted her up after I got past the car and she went vertical scared the .... out of me. But made me smile after.... new tires on her and yea they bite 🤠

I stood my 2016 Roadster up twice....once in 3rd gear coming hard out of a left hand corner...and the 2nd time leaving a stop sign beside my cobber on his Storm...he said the front wheel was 3ft off the ground!...i did get a bit of vertigo tho cos it wasnt planned!!

There is a nice left hand corner near my house and its down hill - I give the TFC a squirt and the front is up then sadly a right hand corner needs to be slowed down for....

Horses for courses. These Rockets are not motards, and wheelying a heavy shaft drive is playing footsie with Lady Luck. The stresses on the crown and pinion back there, picking the bike up literally at the end of a stick (the moment lever acting on the shaft), is seriously high. And not putting it down softly will rubbish the fork seals in no time as well. There will be no story you will be able to spin Triumph to explain your way out once it catches up with you.

I own a Ducati Monster specifically to deal with the hooligan streak, and I will not have a problem if anyone allows me to wheelie their Rocket. But I will not be wheelying mine, aside from the odd momentary power wheelie. Like so many journos and vloggers, the clowns in this video do not care to thrash their test rides either - they have no skin in the endeavour, and those bikes are probably sold off as demos to unsuspecting Polish riders anyway.
