The previous owner and the local dealer both told me you cant fit the floorboards to the Roadster.
I think they said its something to do with the ABS or the brake master cyl.
I examined a couple of new and used models at the dealer and it looks like it is possible.
Whats the verdict?

Im longlegged and I wouldnt like the Roadster so much with the current footpeg position.
I got floorboards on my R3 and wouldnt swap them for the world.
Im not buying a Roadster yet ,just curious.

I think that part of the "new" appeal of the new Roadster was that the sitting position was more ''straight up" and the new peg relocation helped in the accomplishment of this. Having said that (but not having seen one) I have a feeling that the normal Triumph floorboards would not fit unless there was some "customization" done to fit them in and that would probably take away one of the main reasons for getting one as far as the sitting position goes (not laid back like the Classic with the floorboards).

That is one of the reasons that I am leaning more towards the R3T than the Roadster as I like the floorboards that come with it standard along with the hardbags and the torque. The HP doesn't matter as much to me like it used to (I say that now....but....) I rode Daryl's R3T just before Christmas when I was home and it was fast enough.

Good luck,

Dennis

I think Rivco boards just bolt on in place of the stock pegs without having to replace engine bars and brake lines. That could be an option for you. I hear they are pretty short though, TriumPhil has them on his bike.

Have you seen...

Have you seen the lastest offerings from Kuryakyn?

They have 'switchblade' pegs that can converted into floorboards, and they have pegs that can swing out as highway pegs...

"Previous Owner"? You guys have had 2010 Roadsters out long enough to have previous owners already?
