Triumph Rocket III Roadster.
So having done 600 miles on my R3R I am loving it, this thing goes like a stabbed rat!
So far I have fitted: -
  • Ramair - simple enough to fit, and the added bonus of a decent amount of storage space under the seat.
  • CES headers - easy to fit, a nice weight reduction, but expensive, especially importing into the UK, if I ever had to do it again I have now found a man who would make a stainless set.
  • Custom made stainless steel silencer to CESs spec
  • Tune from Hanso - the man is a legend!
  • Custom 2" lower leather seat - I have short legs!, custom pillion seat on its way
  • LED headlights
  • Triumph engine dresser bars - second hand off ebay, I will get a set of forward pegs.
  • Triumph touring screen - second hand off ebay, makes a huge difference.
  • Triumph pillion backrest and rear rack - second hand off ebay, need to suss out top box mount.
To do: -

  • Fit power socket and USB charge socket
  • Heated grips, which ones fit?
  • Cruise control, I have bought a throttle lock, not fitted yet, anyone fitted full cruise control?
  • May fit some LED spot lights, I like lots of light
  • Front fender extender

Why is there not a 6th gear, a cruising overdrive, there is so much torque I am sure 1000 RPM could be taken off at 80 MPH?

There is no head light flash / pass button, anyone sussed out how to retro fit one?

Richard.

So, Richard, please tell us how you acquired your acumen about perforated rats.

BTW, you seem to be off to the races quite nicely. It usually takes most new Captains far longer than 600 miles to acquire the upgrade affliction.

How much was the CES headers all in mate ? Time to get to a dyno now and see what the beast is making and if it is anyway near their claimed figures !
You don't mess about do you mate ?

Love the CES pipes, but they will not make stainless! If you have a someone who will do stainless, I will be interested in a set. Right now, the only stainless offered is the Carpenter which I think is too big (primaries) for my stock engine and Zard which is to expensive.
