FINALLY, 6 months later

I'm sure Art will have a great bs story to tell
SORRY FINGERS Ill leave the BS up to u Its all new news to me I havnt seen or heard this story before so it doesnt make any sense to me that the head would arrive in that condition VERY STRANGE since all the parts are cooked and cleaned in special parts cleaner .

Perhaps it was just a procedure oversight - a serious one, but accidental nonetheless?

Thats for sure no way would they intentionally send anything out without cleaning it and BOB assembled the head himself so I think he would have seen metal chips and he wouldnt send it out in that condition did you call him about this ?

I wish it were so. Delivered like this twice, and when notified of the issue the instructions were to bolt it up, lube it real well, and let it work the bits out on its own.

Also, in at least 10 conversations with Bob and Eddie, NO ONE volunteered that the cam gear torque spec needed to be raised until AFTER I found the posts referencing it on the forums. Utter ****e right there.

No more Carp parts for me, I can't recommend them to anyone, and I no longer believe anything they put out, I don't believe them that the 9000 RPM map missing is Wayne's fault, I don't believe them that the 8.99 @155 bike was street trim on pump gas, I don't believe them that they're working with Triumph right now on a master key to reflash ECUs to any config they want, and I don't believe their power claims for a second. I don't believe the streamliner didnt make a record pass because of weather (other world records were set that weekend) either.

It's a **** shame because I had been considering shopping for my next bike based solely on whether or not they offered parts for it.

I consider them a speed-shop with good design ability and mediocre workmanship.

MY ****ING VALVE LASH WASNT EVEN IN SPEC. What the ****.

Thank God I had a 100% badass as a mechanic, because otherwise, I'd have a $6000 paperweight right now. on top of being a badass, he charged me NO labor costs, because no one can say for 100% who's **** up the first installation was.

Let me know when you're ready and I'll go with you up to see Nels.

THEY are some wild accusations and since I know what you claim you dont believe to be fact what BOB told you is true that means to me you and your badass mechanic are the unbelievable part of this situation anyone can make a mistake and I think your BADASS mechanic is the problem here
