Some, lol, I can't remember. I have some big syringes from Tractor Suppy, when I change my fluid, I think I may attach tubing to one and try to suck out the old from the top, I'm skeered a' that plug now, too many similar posts here.

This was the first time I was going to remove it never got a chance to put a wretch on it, it just came off in my hand

I know its overkill but i change it every other time i change the oil. One thing i have learned from things with high service intervals is that it can be problematic

Good news the drain plug is hollow and when it broke the magnet was what I pushed through. What was left was the hollow bolt still intact thread wise backed it on out with an extractor.Ran oil through a couple times did not see any impurities. Put final drive back on no problems so far(knock on wood). Now onto replacing the fork springs

the magnet will crush up just keep changing fluid. That’s exactly what happened to mine, glad its sorted

I wouldn't take any 100+ MPH turns whoopty-doos too soon, take it up on a long straight and be ready in case the magnet doesn't get crushed up or anything else that's left behind to lodge in there and lock up the back wheel and ruin your day, but I wouldn't spring the $ for a new one either, If it works don't fix it, but I'd be aware for some time and give it the straight test, be ready to hold on for the ride of your life literally. Yeah I would change it within 500 miles and inspect oil. GL

I messed mine up when i first got the bike, i rotated by hand and poured fluid in, turning slowly and felt magnet breaking and saw it washing out, im ocd so this was a process until i was sure it was clean, that magnet crushed up and came out in pieces, the metal body i got out of the threads like i told Bigfoot to check for. After many miles, drsg racing, 4 tunes, its fabulous

A crushed up magnet will not flush out. It is still magnetic.
Some might!
If you put a stronger magnet on a new drain plug... that will most definitely remove it next change.

Doesn't even have to be stronger, probably any magnet
