So it’s been about 2 months in the making, shipping , local ceramic coating etc.
specs, 25 storm R, vandeamon titanium header and bivalve exhaust, and moto gt tuning. Haven’t had it on the highway yet, but the 5 mile trek to work is impressive.

Awesome! That's the first custom exhaust or slip on for this bike that looks like it belongs. I also wonder about heat. Stock exhaust roast my thighs at times. I imagine this requires Nomex pants and boots.

The top bolt in the rear tube carbon fiber shield will get me one day, if I ride on the balls of my feet, it’s ok, soon as I shift the foot forward to hit the brake, I feel the heat.

Hmm are the pegs way more back on the Storm? On my GT they are very close to the rear brake and doesn’t require much foot travel.

I have both R and GT pegs on this, the R pegs have the controls, the GT ones don’t, you can see both from the pictures

You might consider cutting a piece of kevlar fabric in the shape of the heat shield and mount between the header pipe and heat shield. You buy it fairly cheap on Amazon:
