@foxviewnet - I have just purchased the same 'silencers' from Dave. I am very keen to hear how you get on with them and also what 'tune' is needed to get the optimum performance/mpg. Have had to ditch the Zard as the insides have parted company with the outsides... cheap and nasty rubbish!!

Why do we all call the end cans 'Silencers' or 'Mufflers'????

Here is a pic from the right side of the bike. Hope this gives you some idea of the design .

Hey Grumpy,
I am gonna be riding in the Ozarks this weekend. I haven't had but one very short ride since they were installed this week. My RamAir kit came in just before we left for the trip so it will go on the bike probably next weekend. At that point, I will see if HansO recommends a good tune to start with. I also have a shop close by for a Dyno run to see if we can tweak things a bit.I will keep you posted. I will say right off that this setup is at quite loud compared to stock but I prefer loud for safety reasons along with it sounding bad *ss. It drops the octave from a tenor to a baritone. :whitstling:

Thank you! Mine are due to be available for collection in about 10 days ( I couldn't wait for them to be delivered) and fitting will be same day! Look forward to your report!

Woo Hoo! Pipes are finally fitted. sealed, and sounding soooo good! Well, good to me but I have found out that they cause the lounge to rumble and vibrate.:oops: The new system from Dave Platt is a much deeper sound and where I had had the Zard slip on fitted previously, the new system required the left hanger from OEM pipes! Took just 4 days from World of Triumph so lesson learnt - never throw anything away!! New LED headlights fitted too but due to the inclement weather I will have to wait until tomorrow to test pipes and lights!!
