Triumph Rocket 3 exhaust XB08 Extremeblaster tunable pipe slip on to header

Custom made to fit in the USA. XB08 Extremeblaster polished stainless steel slip on shorty glass pack (3 pounds) with 4" tunable disk system fitting Triumph Rocket 3 Roadster and Touring models stock header and includes a new exhaust gasket connector. First two photos show the Rocket 3 with XB08 in black powder coat (last photos longer version with mid-pipe) see also short version shown in two photos with stock heat shield bolted on. Two lengths are available for the Rocket 3 short and long. Long version has a bent mid-pipe that takes the muffler just past the rear peg. The base standard version is short your pipe will come ready to bolt on to the stock header with an included gasket connector (first two photos) see below for added cost of long mid-pipe. XB08 incorporates high efficiency disk technology producing a clean burning exhaust with better low end response and top end horsepower with the same or better fuel economy over the stock pipe. No additional fuel needed from a fuel controller to compensate for the short pipe. This is a tuned exhaust system with a careful balance of low end torque and top end power delivery. Disk pipe delivers deep tone that is not excessively loud like most short aftermarket pipes. Pipe comes with everything needed to bolt on to stock header and no Power Commander is required. Incredible superbike tone not found on any other aftermarket pipe today. Search extremeblaster exhaust XB08 in you tube for sound clips and look for my channel lvgsxr. New for 2014! All hi-temp black powder coat parts (including clamps) with weather resistant coating. New higher temp 2000 degree coating on the cap
This powder coating type is designed for optimum performance in harsh environments specific to motorcycle exhaust and other high temperature applications in outdoor environment. It has superior heat and corrosion resistance and has been tested to automotive specifications and meets or exceeds standards of performance for exhaust and muffler coatings. Heat resistance in excess of 1100 degrees and continuous testing for 48 hours at 800 degrees show this coating to hold its color, gloss and physical integrity at this service temperature. It should be noted this motorcycle exhaust should not exceed 500 degrees. This coating exceeds specifications for salt spray resistance testing. No blistering or rusting from scribe after 120 hours continuous testing. Passed a full battery of corrosion performance tests for automotive applications.

Please see my new facebook page extremeblasterexhaust for more information on this pipe and see the about section for more info on Extremeblaster Exhaust
NEW Update! for 3rd quarter 2016 XB08 cap now has hi temp titanium fiberglass Lava Rock packing inside the cap to increase depth of exhaust note in lieu of sound waves pinging off the steel cap with sharper tone. Helps to reduce discolor (dark gold) of the cap due to high heat temperatures on the thin metal cap (semi chrome or autosol polish can remove it). Black coated caps also keep cooler increasing longevity of the coating with better lasting appearance.

I have read opinions elsewhere on the forum that the similar Supertrapp exhausts for the R3 are not much chop. These get a mention in those threads too.

Search Results for Query: Supertrapp | R3Owners

A Speed Triple thread suggests they are cheap construction and said the paint burnt off the end cap after fitting. According to the ebay listing updates re the end cap this has possibly been rectified.

I have just fitted one, took about an hour to drop off the old ones and fit. I personally went with it just to drop off the big original cans and first impressions are it looks and sounds good. No need for any re-map. I have only done about 500 miles since fitting so early days yet.

My last experience with shorties was that they are obnoxiously loud and robbed power, but they were a custom made set from a local guy and I'm not sure the guy had a f#ckin clue what he was doing so take it for what it's worth

I hope mine aren't too short then. No idea what they are, came on the bike, and never seen any the same.
They were tested at 103db at 2800rpm with PC4 and RamAir fitted with a tune. Now have AT, CES headers and a HansO tune as well.

Looking for personal feedback instead of just reading about it, would like to get rid off the big twin cams now will going with a single one side exhaust do anything? not really wanting the carp I know it will compliment my carp engine but the look does not do anything for me.
Never believe all you read online I saw something the orher day that said the pope was a catholic:D

You should ask Paul Bryant last. Picture he posted you could see 2 inch header components laying in the background. Heck he could do you a 1. 75 header also .

Scot,
Carpenter sidewinder ceramic coated black... You don't like that?

I totally relate on the Brute pipe though, not my favorite look.

Just thinking out loud here but maybe a 1.75" set from Paul, into a short single muffler with a baffle plus a removable insert to cut sound for touring mode?

Keep in mind with a short can, generally it's going to be louder, deeper pitch, and more harsh sounding. My guess is the little tiny muffler you linked on a built motor with headers is going to sound a whole lot like an exhaust with NO baffle at all until you start adding discs. The discs cause a bit of a weird sound Supertrapps, probably on this too. It's hard to describe but I and most people I know don't consider a good sound. Raspy, and weird is the only way I can describe it.
