Exhaust and minor mods versus cylinder head change out?

From what I've seen posted on here you should be able to get to the 150 - 160 HP range with a good exhaust (Reband or Carpenter type system), an upgraded intake, and a good dyno tune. Don't know that I've seen anyone go to 170 HP without some engine mods
YOU can make 165 to 175 hp with a CARPENTER pipe ,Intake and a Dyno Tune

If I was going to spend that kind of money (for 210 horse), I'd go the full monty for 240. Oh wait, I did. :D
Hi I'm considering Carpenter Racing kit for my bike .How is yours ? Did you have any problems with it ? How many miles you put on it so far? Thanks for help

Best money I ever spent, no problems, better have a back rest on the bike if you do it. ;) I have around 11,000 miles on it.

Have you read this post on the 'Rocket III Resources' thread?

So with a set of Jardines (or better), Nev's 'baby street cams', a Ramair filter and a Nev tune - you are there. Sounds like a bargain to me.
I have something similar but added Nev pistons giving a bit more compression I will have it tuned in two weeks and expect to see 200bhp

Ok thanks a lot? I'm sold now most important part $$$$$$$got to start selling bikes that i love but don't need

As noted here many times it is possible to get 165 with Reband exhaust, filters and tune. Worst I have done with that exh is 162. Please not also the exh mentioned by battersea above was on a classic. I reckon if that bike had a Reband it would do close to 180.
WE had a bike come in with the REBAND pipe and it made 153 hp on our dyno nowhere near 180 over here

I know the feeling, I'm up to 7 registered and on the road, my barn is full, I'm going to sell a couple older ones to make room, I want a new Trophy or R1200RT.

Hey, Art, get on Bob to get the turbo thing done, I've been calling him for almost 2 years I think, he keeps saying "in the next couplke months".
