$219 at Cliff's Cycle in Bremerton, WA and $35 to have it mounted. It is getting very difficult to find a dealership here that will mount a tire purchased from another source. To me the Max has it all over the Metz. After having the Max installed I rode up to British Columbia to do a little touring and loved every mile of it. To me it is huge improvement over the Metz. I look forward to replacing the front Metz when the time comes.
That's Sir WOO to you, nah just agreeing with ya, last week while coming thru Sydney had to get new Front cost me $305 fitted for an Avon but we don't seem to have much choice, seems strange that Qld shops can do tyres so much cheaper

Wow, Navigator. That's $50 more than at Rocky Mountain ATV/MC. The Honda shop a few blocks away from me here in Tacoma has no problems with mounting tires purchased from the WWW - been doing it for at least a dozen tires.
I find that some shops charge more for mounting & balancing a tire not purchased from them, while others could care less. It doesn't hurt to shop around.
I pay $27 out-the-door to get any motorcycle tire mounted & balanced here in western Pennsylvania, USA. A rear Metzeler costs $252 out-the-door price, and a front Metz costs $138/$192 at AmericanMotorcycleTire.com The prices of the front tire vary on the speed rating. The cheaper tire has an "H" rating which goes up to a steady speed of 130mph. The "V" speed rating goes up to 149mph. For both speed ratings, the tire is tested up to something like 215mph.
