Exedra Max + Michelin Commander 2 + GO PRO2

Avon Cobra

Tyres for bike just quoted me $239.95 for the Avon Cobra 150/80R17 V rated tyre.
Also will fit up the BS for $20, This price is considering I will remove and refit the wheels cos im getting them powder coated.

that Avon price sounds good I paid $305 but that included the wheel removal (which I was told I was not charged for) mmmm but I was not in any position to remove wheel my selve due to being on a trip.

I know I paid to much but I had no choice as it was I had to ride 6km with a front tyre that barely cleared the front guard with tennis ball size bubbles in the tyre.
Seem to remember you telling me that you paid somwhere round the $280 prior to working at Joes,... have they had a price drop eh?

Shinko have been crossed off of my to try list ;) delamination = poor quality rubbish not going to risk it

Hanso I havn't heard your Shinko story from your trip home from QLD. Correct me if I'm wrong but didn't you have the same problem returning from the superbikes at Pillip Island .

that is why I told you guys about it they said it was just that batch cos I got both tyres at same time but they have had other people have the prob and have deleted that model tyre replacing it with a new one not that I would buy one... not even sure I would even have one if they gave me one, but it was definately one of the best griping handling tyres I have tried. At phillip Island I was talking to a Michelin rep and the Commander II in 140/75/17 are now in Auss so unless this Avon impresses me on the Mtn (havent had a chance to get up there yet with it) I will probally try the Michy Com'der II next

yup both tyres bought together from same batch, I was so impressed with the first Shinko that I ordered two from my local tyre guy (car tyre dealer ex biker mate) to make it woth his while as he looks after me price wise and does not charge any fitting but I do take the wheel in :)

sorry that was 6 km on the morning going to the bike shop with out Ann or trailer on the back, but I had to baby it while towing camper and with Ann on the back for close to 100km just to be able to get to Syd after it started to delaminate:eek:
