Enlisting Mufasa for Salt Duty

Snagged a "Sports Belly Pan" today, if nothing else, it should keep the salt buildup on the oil filter and waterpump area to a minimum. I always wanted to add one just never got around to it. Will it help aero or just cancel out the smoother air with increased front area? No idea lol. I'll be adding to it some to remove the vent holes and possibly upwards to meet up with the radiator.

Good thought, blending it in to radiator hopefully will help air flow. That's what I hate about our bikes, all the trash accumulates at the filter and water pump.

The last major technical hurdle is solved.

In short 200/60R17 is almost the same height as 240/55R16. Paired with a 125/70R17, it creates a massive reduction in trail, not good for max speed stability (great for cornering though!).

I've ordered a set of special build 10.6" rear shocks sprung for Justdad's weight at 10.6" length, and should work for my weight at 11.1" with the extra preload. 10.6" should put trail well within stable range, giving a bike that doesn't want to shake like a methhead going through withdrawal symptoms.

They'll double as drag shocks when the rebound damping is cranked tight too, holding the ass end down during launches, and fighting the shaft jacking effect.

Now to sit and wait on all the things to arrive...

Point of feedback, the 58mm fork clamps are, indeed a touch too small for the lower fork area.

I'm going to convince them to fit, but the actual size below the lower triple mount is 2 and 5/16". It is not a metric size, like the bore centerline spacing, imperial value was used.

Picked up tires today ;)

Rears
200/65R17 SuperBike SC1 (Soft slick)
200/60R17 SuperCorsa V4 SC3 (Medium Race Compound Trackday DOT tire) - Currently Mounted on 17x6.5 wheel. Machine work is so good it balanced to zero with no wheel weights at all!
200/55R17 Diablo IV (Very Sticky Street Tire)

Front
130/70 Exedra Max (The only Z rated 130/70 on the market)
125/70 SuperBike SC2 (Med/Soft slick)

So, if we have to go with street tires because of regulating body's lack of knowledge on racing motorcycle tires, we're good to 200mph. With the Race tires, there's no regulatory upper speed limit.

Just from touching them the difference in grip already validates the money spent on the custom wheel to correct my biggest gripe of all time with R3s...the 16" wheel.

The wildest part: Race tires were cheaper than a set of stock Metzler's...
