I have had two people tell me if my Rocket is a 2007 it should have a black engine? What do I tell them?

Black came in in 06, may be a leftover bike on a dealer floor only registered in 2007.
Think some of the Classics are like that.

Or someone sprayed the engine silver. What's your engine number?

Just look at the vin sticker on the frame. It will have the model year and build month/year.
