End of the line for the 2.5 Rocket???????

Just called in at my local dealership and in conversation with one of the salesmen he mentioned that the Rocket was being discontinued as soon as the end of this year.
When I quizzed him further about what he said, he said he wasn't 100% sure, so would need to check to confirm.

Could be a load of rubbish, but I wondered if anyone out there had heard of similar a rumour?

Well it's been out for almost 7 years now so I would not be surprised.

It's been out 20 years so it may be their last hurrah. I hope not but maybe the little problems with the rear brake which by the way will be the 5th time for my Rocket and the 4th that I have had to take it in, it's to the floor once again. I barely ever touch the rear brake so maybe that's the problem. I'm making an appointment for next week hopefully. The instrument panel breaking is also a big problem that keeps rearing it's ugly head along with water and rain disrupting the electrical system. All little problems I can agree on although they never really fixed any of them. Maybe they will put the 2500 into a full touring bike. That would be interesting. Time will tell.

The original 2300 Rocket III went from 2004-2019. The new 2500 from 2020-2024 with the Storm for MY 2025. Do you think that Triumph will discontinue the Storm before 2025 even arrives?

I cannot see them stopping a line after releasing two new versions!

But I've no idea what current sales are doing - global sales on everything are pretty flat I think. That could cause the bean counters to pull the plug?
Out on mine today - it's such a fabulous bike and a fantastic ride too. Love mine to bits.

if the sales are down and the bike isn't selling well, yes it would be discontinued. i don't know all the numbers but money talks...it would seem triumph has trouble selling them at msrp in this market, so i would not be surprised.

I would be really surprised if this holds true after only 5 years of making the new 2500cc displacement engines.
They might/will reduce production numbers based on demand, or assembly facilities globally and eventually stop production when they cant make global emissions targets anymore.
Eventually the age of large capacity gasoline engines will come to an end, but not before 2030 if I was a betting man
either way, I’m not parting with mine ever…

Salesman? we all know they are full s**t and they dont care about their job anyways, he is probably trying to create F O M O by spreading rumors, so people rush in to buy

Maybe, but knowing the general impression I have of the fella, it's more likely to be that he's got the model wrong.
So, maybe it's just a different model than the Rocket that's in for the chop?.....Who knows...
I think you're assumption about the guy's general professionality is probably correct, but still, there could still be some truth in it.......
