END OF MONTH PACKRATS RIDE

You having a go at me, young fella?? :( ;)

Must say, I do like it, especially on a trip (with no screen) - saves hanging on the whole time. Used to keep swapping seats but now I just keep the back rest on pretty much all the time. Only thing is it gets a bit warm against your back on a hot day so might have it off a bit through summer.

Wondered when you'd put the bars back on.
Nah mate i'm not having a go at ya  heading to Newcastle Monday morning for a funeral Tuesday , must have aged in the last week cause i'm wishing i had the backrest for the trip ... riding back Wednesday . Good having theT- bars back on. Commuting on the Thunderbird so my Rockets weekend ride now .

I want to see a picture PLEASE:) TC are your TBars from Thunderbike in NZ, just curious how far back and how high it changes your hand position:rolleyes: thinking of getting some my self also do they clear the instruments as the web page only shows the early model which has a different bar bracket that sets the gauges back closer to rider, out of the way of the bars

Photos of them somewhere on here mate , i'll get Catherine to re-post them when she gets home. They are Thunderbike fat T-Bars, although i have had them heightened by 75 or 80 mm. They are really comfortable bars i reckon. As mine are now my arms are just about straight , similar to a set of 10 or 12 inch apehangers if i've got them positioned up - right. I can lay them back and they are lower obviously. They supply a bracket that moves the gauges back further than stock, they are a bit closer to the rider/tank i guess.

Thank you, a bit high for my wants

One day I'll get along to one of these. Meanwhile today I had the pleasure of a cuppa with Hanso at Batemans Bay, including some gentle ribbing of a bloke from Queensland travelling on a Heritage Softail with his missus (told him to watch out for a few of you lot up there) followed by a short blast from the Bay to Rosedale with the big fella.

Great weather and good run up the mountain and home.

That would be great Mitch. One thing though. And I'll have to talk to Hanso about it. I'm not sure we'll be able to slow our bikes down enough for you to keep up. :D Perhaps you could come a day early and give us time to paint it for you. :p
