Electrical Gremlins Part 4

Do you mean the rear relay on the right side just below the frame? I have had my 2006 R3C for 10 years. I've fed direct power from the battery to the starter, done the 00 weld wire for ground, done the Eastern Beaver headlight relay, done the keyless ignition relay, done the Toyota Solara starter swap, and cleaned the starter button contact. I'm getting the relay click from the two long relays under the tank and the relay under the frame on the right, but no action at the starter. I have confirmed I have 12.76VDC at the starter, so I assume it's the signal getting from the starter relay (which I think is the one under the frame behind the right side cover) to the starter. If all I need to do is clean and crimp the connectors at that relay, that would be one of the easiest fixes I've ever had to do on this bike. Thanks!

Edit: I just saw the part of this thread about the solenoid on the stock starter. I wouldn't think that should be an issue on the Toyota starter, but I have had it in for years. Perhaps @DEcosse would be willing to give me some direction? I've been very impressed with your knowledge base that I've seen on the site. Thanks!

Today was the day to replace the starter. Problem being, the 04 toyota solara really doesn't look like it fits. Anyone have any ideas?

Gratitude, all. I got it figured, and I'll put it all back on the bike this evening. I added some moly-lube in the casing where it appeared to not have any anymore, and added a little Hylomar in the places where it had o-rings for a little extra protection. I'll be attaching extra battery cables (doubling up with used wires from Mad Dog's bike in lieu of buying more copper) and the starter tonight, so wish me luck.
