the 1.4 starter is what u need
and will probably fix your prob.

Is the solenoid integral to the starter? Or are they separate parts that I need to investigate? If it's integral, does this appear to be the correct part?

instead of messing with the triumph starter solenoid
replace with toyota starter.

I personally don't subscribe to the higher wattage starter option, at least on a std motor
Its going to draw significantly more current and the battery voltage will take an even bigger hit than it currently does. I would say the cons outweigh the pro's. JMO

I don't think so, but I haven't experienced the issue again. I'll probably try to put the new starter in it soon.
