Just curious but you didn't say what the shop is plugging into? PCV ect.? Tell us what you got.

I think I got just standard ECU...

If he is indeed custom mapping using Tuneboy, then this would explain the $$$ cost.
Tuneboy/TuneECU custom mapping is laboriously slow, whereas PCV way way faster and should cost less.

Not saying you can not get a good tune on your bike via the use of a PC3 but finding a respected tuner that knows what they are doing may be a different story especially in Oklahoma.

So speaking of tunes. Am I correct that with Tune ECU I can reset or pretty much eliminate the Rev limits on the first 3 gears of my 05?

If you come to KC Smithers Customs knows Power Commander like no other and has one of the cleanest shops you'll ever see. His shop happens to also be just across the hiway from the Triumph / Indian dealership in Olathe Kansas. He told me he really doesn't see alot of Triumphs but his shop is the one both Triumph dealers in the KC area recommend .

I'd like to go see the man in the shed myself.

It's a 1,200km ride for me and poor old Roscoe is a good 2,000kms away.

That's a long way to ride an untuned bike with mods. Not that it's too far to ride ... more that I'd want the bike tuned before riding it that far.
