Ducati vs Triumph

So why does every motor test need to be a quarter mile drag race test to see who is king. The technology in the Davel is newer than what the Rocket as far as HP goes. To me the Rocket is King. My old ass does need to be riding on no ****** rocket sport bike wondering if I can make the next 50 miles in comfort. Besides when I pull up somewhere I get a lot more looks on a Rocket
 
yet there are so many riders who let reviews tell them where to spend their money. I found a review that puts the R3t up against the Gold Wing and asks the pillion what they prefer and they chose the R3t because there was less wind buffeting. bet your a-- I had the Mrs read that one.
 
Many if not most of such reviews are very, very subjective, if not outright loads of crap.

BTW, I agree that the direct comparison of the DD and the R3R is somewhat silly as they are essentially very different platforms.

interesting but not mind changing
 
I bought a Rocket because it is a Rocket..... Don't need someone else to tell me a Duc is different, it isn't.... the Rocket is and it's unique!
 
Really how about a Speed Triple R
 
The Speedy excels at what it was designed and purpose-built to do, unlike the Diavel, which, essentially - like the R3 - is in a class of its own, but has a much less distinct identity. JMHO.

Agree Phil, but not sure I'd classify the diavel as uniquely. Other than seat position it's all sport bike. I do think it's a great one though and if I wanted a big sport bike, that'd be it!

the DIAVEL is a sport bike with higher bars and not comfy at all Ive tested the bike and don't like it or I would own one I enjoy a comfy modified Rocket that's capable of beating the sport bikes on the street Ya cant roadrace on the street so why be uncomfortable the whole time your riding ?
