Don't use the kill switch, is that right?

bummer! I always thought the kill switch was something you hit on your mates bike as you passed him ....[/quote

And then he flicks it back on and the backfire nearly blows the mufflers off it. You just brought back some good memories.

Hope none of those who saw that, Tony, been insensitive enough to bring it up.

Last time I saw that was TC trying to do it to Donny's bike at about 120 on the way to HB.

I NEVER use the kill switch (Unless I have dropped the bike while its running) After I dropped it from a stationary position in front of 10 other rocket riders whist stopped at road works (it rolled forward off the stand), I always just kick the side stand out to stop the engine and leave it in gear and turn the key off.

R3's have a "fall detection switch" that is supposed to kill the engine if the bike gets to far over. Does anyone know if they really work ?

Start the bike cold. DON'T TOUCH THE THROTTLE. Wait until the cooling fan cycles on. Start counting, 1001,1002,1003 until you get to 12 minutes. This resets the engine computer. It might run a little weird until you ride it some and allow the adaptives to well...adapt !

That's a lot of counting (720 thousands), I use a clock.

Fred, I am pretty sure mine worked on my 05 when I had my accident in June. I know I didn't hit the kill switch I was just looking to get away from her. When I rolled over she was dead, so I am sure it worked. I prefer not to do any further tests in that area!:(
