Disappointed with Jardine's....

Yes but...

Harleys been using hoseclamps to hold their heatsheilds on for as long as they have run them..... Like Pedro says because they do the job.

I've installed Harley pipes on several bikes and Harley does a much better job of hiding their clamps.

Probably the situation for most Owners unless someone they know have a set on their bike .. like Canberra said there has been plenty written about the poor fit and finish on Jardines. I research before i outlay my hard-earned dollars. I've got a custom built 3 into 1 system on my Rocket. As for giving others a heads-up ... well it sounds more like a whinge from someone who hasn't done their homework mate.

I heard both ways, some loved them, some disappointed, so it's not that simple. It's not a huge disappointment or anything, just a "sheez" type thing. Thinking of trying to fit an alternate style clamp I've seen, with no excess strapping showing.

These claim heat stabilized are available, not sure about header type heat, but there are several other types besides the common ones. I was originally thinking of a T bolt type clamp.

the T-Bolt look a better option

I'm guessing Sam never ended up making your set then skip ?

Nope.
If he did, he's not responding to PM's, and keeping them for himself.

These aren't exactly what I wanted, but way better than stock or even TOR's IMHO.
Got a much deeper resonance than the 3 into 1 I had on it too.

And they are original and unique with the incorporation of Jars

I don't mind the stock style pipes n' TORs on my 05 silver motor always liked the original 3 splayed R3 system makes it unique IMO but not everyone choice..

Thanks for the clips

Jardine probably didn't give it much thought since they were going on a motor that looks like it came out of a John Deere tractor, with a radiator that would look more at home on an old Buick.

Ah,,,, but Harry, it's a "sexy" tractor motor,,,,!
