Why does anyone even bother bringing up Predators? You can't buy them.. You can't get them.. They no longer exist. It's been over a year.. maybe two? since the last Predators were made. Why would someone bring them up at all if no one can get a set?
Sam did a great job on the few sets he made in his garage. They were really nice, I've only seen one set, and if an exhaust system can look delicious, these were it. However, I didn't care for the sound compared to my Jardines. The SuperTrapp mufflers don't make the same deep sound, but the build quality was much better.
I will say, I have had my Jardines for a few years and they definitely could be built better. A slip joint at the header.. really? I could never get the slip joint at the header to seal. Eventually, I just welded it.. no leaks since!.. lol The chrome is definitely not "Harley" quality.. The glass packed baffles wear out, but Jardine DOES offer their 'quiet' baffles that do not wear out. I keep meaning to buy a set, but life always gives me something else to spend money on first.. Ugh..
But for the money.. the Jardines do wake up the Rocket more than any other slip-on system with stock header. .or the "exhaust log" as we used to call it..
