went and had throttle bodies balanced ( long job just to acess the thing) reset tps & idle actuators, $ 210.00, remapped for stock exhaust ,full power, no cat, tune 020227 does that tune sound ok?? bike works good, doeen't idle perfect but better than it was. also found exhaust leak in cat eliminator, ordered new gaskets,,, still has decel pop..

The 20227 tune is for standard mufflers and a cat box without catalyst. You have a cat bypass pipe which is probably less restrictive. It is only "full power" in 4th and 5th where the secondary throttle plates are open 100%. In the lower gears, power is restricted under 4500 rpm where the tune closes the secondaries up to 70%.

I took them out, using a GiPro will give you the timing advance available in 4th and 5th.
You can program those features using the TuneECU as well from what I've read. But for ease of tuning I opted for the PCIII, GiPro and removing the secondaries.

what can be done to open the secondairies in 1-3 to 100%

For a $20 cable, you can open them up with free TuneECU software. Then the most straightforward way of optimizing the fuel is with the PCIII.

What does the PC 111 do and how, what is difference with PC 5. Does the TuneEcu do the same thing. Thanks.

As far as the R3 is concerned, there isn't much difference between the PC3 and PC5. The both control fuel only in a TPS/RPM based table. Any shop with a dyno can tune with it.

TuneECU allows direct access tot he ECU, and allows mapping of fuel in individual cylinders via TPS and MAP tables, as well as ignition advance, rev limit, speed limit, secondary throttle control, correction of the speedometer, diagnostics, tests, and more. The only problem is that few shops understand how to map with it.
