looks as if it could be a rhs side muffler?...you didn't receive two rhs did you?....must go back and have another look at your photos...could be wrong...

The standards and classics seem to have to have that weird hedgehog box.
Because he can't be bothered to rethink it. It's his old CAT REMOVER BOX for the 3 pipe bikes (I have one in a box somewhere) with an exit blocked off. Economic in terms of thinking - but very inferior in terms of gas flow.

I've always found that it doesn't matter how much money you spend or whether or not you have more horsepower than the man on the next bike, your WILLY remains the same size!

I don’t know about you mate but when my bike gets more horsepower my Willy gets bigger!

Completely inappropriate and in related I hope it gets sorted, It’s one of the worst feelings dropping decent cash and not getting what you intended and even worse when seller doesn’t make good. Do you guys have consumer ombudsman that you can call? Sometimes just mentioning a phone call to them sometimes sets the seller straight

Ah yes but the expansion and growth of ones todger is only a temporary thing..:roll::roll:

O.K. what we are looking at here is a muffler that is set up to use the stock Rocket L/H muffler mounting bracket.
If you were to rotate the unit so that the inlet tube was horizontal so as to align with the horizontal cross over pipe, the mounting points would be rotated around to suit the stock mounting bracket.
But then the tapered end piece would be out of whack.

As you have said this L/H bracket was not with the bike when you bought it so you needed to purchase this separately.
Again as you say there is a R/H mounting bracket supplied, this makes sence as the stock R/H bracket is set up to support the two stock mufflers on the R/H side.

So the problem is that the orientation of the rear section of the muffler, the tapered piece, is off.
This where this the main body of the muffler has not been orientated correctly in the jig when the inlet tube and the mounting points have been attached.

So yes, it has been assembled wrong.

Paul,

With regards to a 2 pipe solution with a cross over, similar to the DP system, do you have something similar in your catalogue?
