Damaged crankcase with pictures -- FIXED

Quite right Gregger, pull the bike down evenly compressing the forks is the best way.
Then tie the back down so that A) it can't bounce on the rear springs, and B) the rear of the bike can't move side ways.

Back when we were kids taking our dirt bikes out to the track, a mate tied three bikes down on a trailer in this manner.
As we were driving slowly (Yea' strange I know) traffic was building up behind us, the driver pulled over to let the traffic past but we got a little too far off the seal and the trailer started to fish tail to the point that it came off the hitch and flipped over.
When we got the trailer back on it's wheels, amazingly all three bikes were still well secured to the trailer, albeit with bent handle bars and a few more dents in the tanks !

It has been 10,000 miles and 19 months since the repair to the kickstand. There have been no problems with the repair and it has been as stable as it was originally. As hoped for, this rather simple fix has been very effective.
