Chris do you know of anyone fitting your chin spoiler on a newer style TTS Supercharger kit?

Hi Warp, I've not seen the newer kit . . I know it could be done on the older kit by chopping the top end of the pan down a bit

I purchased the part from newr3.com in the summer of 2010. Don't know where they got it, or if it was drop shipped.

I don't have the old brackets anymore. Tossed them after I made the templates. I meant to run a magnet by them to see if they were aluminum, but never did. I assumed they were aluminum by how flexible they were. Either way, the ones I had look like the ones in the picture and they were too week for the job. There are different grades and thicknesses of stainless.

If this sounds like your product, I would like to take you up on the new brackets. Though my home made ones made from 'L' bracket that I used to hang my garage door are pretty strong. I don't notice any movement at all. With the stock ones, I would notice movement when I wiped it down. Which is about once or twice a year.

Other than the brackets, it's an awesome product. the finish is still smooth and it handled the scraping on the ground well. Just a few scratches. No major gouging.

If they were made out of 300 stainless you would not notice any magnativity so to speak because 300 is considered a non ferrous metal. It actually has some ferrous metal in it but the nickel and chromium content is so high it does not rust and fits the nonferrus catagory. There is some 300 series like 348 ultra high strength stainless that is heat treatable to the extent it form slight iron and chromium carbides in the grain boundries increasing the metals strength (much like stronger mortor). Of course 348 is pricey and used in elaborate machinery like Nuclear environments.

The extent of my metallurgy knowledge is knowing the difference between ferrus and non ferrus and that my good knives have at least 154 chromoly. I also know that damascus steel looks sweet.

By the way what paint did you use on the sculpted bug screen, I am changing some of the color to match the new bike and my painter wants to know so he can prep it the right way. Or is it cleared and just scuff the clear?
