rvin it was actuall a easy mod to do . I did not notice any large intake noises. But I never experienced the triple filters either. My other bike has the supercharger on it so intake noise is different. I wished I would not have wrecked the bike but here is a finished close up. I moved the overflow bottle so my knee cleared the filter more.
don't be slack go and find a good pipe fabricator tell them what you want and go from there.
Owl from .com site be able to steer you he had that inlet manifold made there in UK somewhere
I was lucky enough to get Hoss from Hossstyle cycles ( he builds V8 bikes) to fabricate my pipes , if i can work out how to post a video ile try and get one up here to show you his work
im really pleased with the newfound pick up after having Jardines on my rocket for a while , now im thinking of running a new tune , and giving the bike a good service
Thanks TC for your help also , this forums full of great advise
Bit of a hassle maybe but I have a set of the custom flanges Neville Lush used to make. He tells me that Ric at Reband uses a very similar style of flange on his exhausts. He has them made by another bloke on his CNC machine ... flanges are better than the ones Triumph uses. Perhaps you could get a set sent over and use them on your custom system. Ric be the one to talk to mate.
I e-mailed Reband before I started my system and asked if they would sell a set of flanges....the answer was.......yea mate, they come attached to a set of pipes for $1850.00

Hoss built these pipes , they took him 20 hours to make , he wasnt exactly keen on doing another set in a hurry ,he builds V8 dirt drag bikes for a living
now i know how to load pictures ile post a few more later , good part about the 24 sec mark on video
Yes I intend to hide it, but I want something shaped better for under there. I need to go to the auto parts store. But last time I was off work the weather was too nice, and I didn't want to miss any riding time.
After I move it, I'll have to make another backing plate so the filter sits a little further forward. Then modify the BC to fit.
So this thread is for custom exhausts but has strayed into filters so to get it back on track here's my one off. I'm running a tuneboy with a map for TOR's and decat so no fully optimised. No idea what she punts out now but the first thing I had to do was uprate the clutch springs because it would slip under full throttle
