So Triumph didnt honor my claim. My original dealer shrugs his shoulders and leaves me with a CHF 2012.- bill ex work. Seek new dealer, they say "yea, we understand your worries. we'll give you 35% off, so about CHF 1350.-". They also said, we'll talk to our Triumph represantative today and we'll get back to you. Triumph Switzerland also chips in and the Unit is now CHF 950.-, ex work. My mom tells me to call my insurance because I have extended, and now the bill is CHF 0.00. I got the work done at my new Dealer/shop, I've bought a pair of gloves there which were originally CHF 120.-, but bill was CHF 105.-, because they gave me a discount of 15% because "they felt like it". I've spent about CHF 30k at my old dealer. I've spent exactly those 105 bucks at my now new dealer so far, plus the insurance claim. I also have an oldish Speed Triple that I treat like a princess. Guess who's going to get my buisness from yesterday on?
I understand why you went through insurance but at the end of the day you will lose some money and triumph replaces screens for free. It's surprising that they don't do it in Switzerland;-(

Harley Davidson? Triumph is running people away.
I'm really not a harley guy my dude.. The new breakout looks very sweet though, I must admit that!

Why would I lose money going through insurance. I'm at minimum and have insurance in such ways that my premium wont go up.

i bought the extended warranty, and when my bike went back to the dealership in January, the day after i finally got it back from them to fix all of the obvious damage and the screw ups the mechanic made, they were nice enough to let me know that the extended warranty didn't cover the cracked screen, even though i was told the extended warranty was front to back, top to bottom, engine, drivetrain, electronics and so on, i would have sworn that looked like an electronic piece of equipment to me. Triumph Canada says the bike is to old and they won't cover it. luckily since the dealership has had it for over 6-months now repairing accident damage, due to the mechanics complete and total incompetence beyond belief, the dealership has decided to eat that cost and replace the display, i think in part because it also happened while it was in their possession at the time. on the plus side, that mechanic won't be doing any further work on my bike as he no longer works for them, they relieved him of his duties, after i called them and lost my mind at them. I have seen incompetence on a pretty high scale, but, wow this guy took it to all new level, over 6-months now, and i'm still waiting to get all the parts and get my bike back, they are still waiting on the catalytic to come in, apparently it was on back order.

Well good for you but usually when you put a claim your premium goes up. If not this year then a next. And also you need to pay excess. At least in the UK you do
