Corbin Beetle Bags 2012 Roadster Phantom Black

My brother's ride has Corbin bags. They were installed by the previous owner. They had minor fitting issues.
By chance we met Mike Corbin at Sturgis 2012. While jawing about a set for my R3R he learned of and saw the fitment issues.
Mike took info and said a brand new set color matched would be shipped to him right after Sturgis. He asked only that the current bags be destroyed.
New bags arrived as promised and Mike was sent photos of us using a saws-all to cut the oldies up into pieces. He responded favorably to the photos.
Saw him again last year and he remembered us on sight. A very cool dude and honest businessman.

Good to see this thread. For a while Corbin was getting a lot of bad press about poor quality and service.

I just cant afford that much for a set of bags. Over the years I've learned they are the first things to get fecked if you drop it but equally are excellent at protecting everything else.

Similar pricing to Jesse Luggage , BMW GS panniers and Harley tourer panniers I'd guess. Lot of money I agree.

I agree completely. I would like the Corbins; but, choose to run fake leather extra large River Road panniers, which cost me only $150 or so.
Since 2004 and 100,000 miles, I have bought three sets. A good bang for the buck in my opinion.
When I go down or they wear out, they are easy to replace when mounted to Easy Brackets.

OK - Corbin Bags arrived. They did a great job matching the Phantom Black. These bags look great on the bike and seem to be very well made.

Looks really good. I just got mine after Christmas and I've been wondering if there are any difficulties installing the sissy bar with the bags installed?

I installed the Triumph sissy bar and luggage rack first. The bags fit great, snug right up against the fender rails.
