I ordered these bags through my dealer on September 4th. Corbin states "Corbin's Beetle Bags come pre-painted to coordinate with your factory paint job so they're ready to install right out of the box." Corbin was advised that the bike was a 2012 Roadster Phantom Black. The bags were shipped around the second week of October. They boxes were labeled Phantom Black. The bags were a glossy black. (For 2012 Triumph offered the matte black or phantom black which has a metallic flake sort of blue/green in the paint) When questioned Corbin stated that they thought it was the glossy and not the matte but they apparently had not looked any further into it. Understandable mistake. They had the bags picked up at their expense and said they would re-paint them the correct factory color.

I was told they would be shipped last week. When they did not arrive, Corbin said they decided to order a stock Triumph part in Phantom Black so that they could match the paint, the part had just arrived, and it would take another couple of weeks for that process.

This is by far the most money I have ever spent on bike bags. Though I am anxious to get them, and disappointed Corbin just assumed/guessed at the "factory paint job", I am happy that Corbin is attempting to get the factory paint match correct.

IF you have a 2012 Roadster, Phantom Black, and you are considering the Corbin Bags - check back here and I will update once they arrive as to the factory paint match.

Glad to hear they just didn't leave you out of luck like most companies would try to do. Would love to pick up the fairing and bags one day.

The two tone red/black match for my 2007 Rocket Classic Beetle Bags was perfect also. They usually do a great job...sorry you are having this delay and hope that it will be sooner than later when the finish them and get them shipped to you.

But since black is "slooooowwwww" it may be expected that it will take longer for it to catch up to you.

I say kudos to Corbin for their approach to customer service - especially keeping the customer informed and in the loop.

Maybe I'll spring for that saddle and backrest for my R3T. I'm coming to the conclusion that my Long Haul saddle is just too soft for longer rides.

If you don't mind me asking, what did they set you back.
