Cooling fan not working

IT WAS THE #*%$# FUSE!!!
Note to self: Don't trust a visual inspection of a fuse, do a continuity check!
Thanks to you people I went ahead and followed your suggestions and checked the fuse again anyway, with a multi-meter, After I did the direct connection from the battery to pin 8 in the relay socket and the fan started fine. I thought that since the relay was clicking with a TuneECU test the fuse must be good. Turns out the power/fuse only goes to pin 1 (87).
Well, fan came on doing the TuneECU test, so should be good to go.

Still have a couple of relays coming from Engle motors, last check, but a spare laying around and on board won't hurt.

I carry a Triumph stock starter relay and one of the other relays all the time. I have for years just in case. Just about any auto parts relay would get you by in a pinch but was never sure if they have a protect diode.

Well Hi there. Haven't seen you around much. Glad to hear from you.
I will do that. I was going for the sensor, but in retrospect TuneECU showed the temp rising from 40C up to 121C. So I guess the sensor is fine.
Don't know if a bad diode in the relay would be a thing, but both the fuel pump and fan relays both acted the same when I swapped them.
Getting close...Just about tried everything else that's not too much over my head.

In regards to not being on the forum much, I guess I kind of got away from it with much of it being about the new Rocket 3's. I need to check in more and read about these kinds of problems.

that is good relays to have
the starter relays will replace any of the four terminal relays.

Please help me understand the opposite problem. During a long cruise on a chilly fall day, fan started working all the time. Even with an absolutely cold engine. It starts when I turn the key before starting the engine and doesn't go off after I shut the engine and turn key to off position. The only way I found to shut the fan down is to turn key to ON again and flip the engine switch from OFF to ON, and that's how fan finally stops. When doing the described, upon turning the engine switch to OFF, dash lights flicker for a fraction of second which has not happened before. Also, shortly after this started, check engine light came on for couple of dozen miles, but then it went off. Didn't try swapping the relays yet, but what else it could be?

Found this relay and swapped it with each of those relays, trying one swap at a time, and it didn’t help. Meanwhile, I keep riding around town and could hear the fan going off and back on frequently but randomly during the ride. It still mostly in on all the time. I really don’t want to go to dealership electrician, what else it can be?

Fyi normally, fan always stops when I stop the engine even if it’s hot and fan was running
