Compiled Dynos, I was bored

@sonny Normally I do the same, but in this case, with the sheer cost of repairing the head if it's damage, coupled with the very real risk of interference between valves/pistons, I am simply not comfortable doing it.

The more I research this the more certain I'm becoming the Tech in Hawaii installed the exhaust cam 1 or 2 teeth too far advanced. Possibly intentional because he was afraid of them touching gain.

The other possibility, one I'm going to be beyond irate if it's the case, is that he installed the Carp intake cam and STOCK exhaust cam...

That is a Possibility. Know a guy who took his Harley into one of the local dealerships and they installed after market cams (twin cam engine) guess what they did? One new cam and the other stock. Boy was he pissed.

Spoke with Bob, agrees there is something really off regarding timing.

Bikes going to NJ, not risking piston/valve unholy union again, and frankly I don't trust anyone with a wrench in their hands anymore.

Proper engine builders are a rapidly dying breed in the US it would seem. Yet another tick in the box for "time to move to Australia".
Did you get the timing straight?
