Coming off...Protection below the waist?

Wrecka maybe give Ben at TOPGUN YAMAHA out at Ipswich a call .. tell him you're a mate of mine , beat anyone else pricewise i'd bet

Ben will do a pair of Draggin Slicks for $250 .. usually retail for $289.
Bloody hell didn't realise they'd cost so much but thx for the heads up

As long as your ass NEVER touched pavement!!!!
Chaps are for cowboys!

Problem as I see it with Chaps--- they ain't gonna save yer arse on a slide, and it's yer arse,or yer knees that usually hit the deck 1st. (I'm talkin' 'bout the lower part of the body)--I reckon on leather or Kevlar next to the chuffer is the safest bet--I have hit the black stuff a few times in my 50 yrs riding and I know how 'kin' painful it is,even when yer dressed 'sensibly'?,and don't forget the heat of the exhaust pipes can mek yer eyes water an'all, if ya end up sitting on one---as I did once when I slid out on icy road , right outside our local fish&chip shop, with a full audience, nearly cut meself a 2nd arsehole---
Ooooohh-- vivid memory just then ..

BTW--I came off back in the '60s wearing only ordinary jeans, me arris was saved by a comb in me backside pocket---- the comb was shaved down to a point, but I got away without a scratch----I keep a comb in both rear pocket to this very day, when wearing the 'Draggins' , unexpected protectors.. not enough hair for two combs now..

----------------------------------------

B.T.W. 'Wrecka' You won't worry 'bout the cost, at the moment yer arse hits the tar, You'll wish yer bought a suit of armour---trust me..

Thanks everyone...Tom and Phil I went to those websites you recommeded...some really interesting products for protection...expected to see draggin jeans from Austraila...they said they were "Proudly made in the USA"[/QUOTE

I've had pair of Drayko's drift jeans for a while now which are made by draggin jeans, when I ordered them I originally thought they were made in Australia but when I got them I checked the tag and it says designed in Australia made in China, briefly bummed me out but actually they're well made jeans, look good and are fairly comfortable even in warm weather. This is why I bought them in first place

I wonder if there are two seperate companys making and selling these "Draggin Jeans" as the one I have been looking at sells the jeans for about $130 USD. I know there is a difference between USD and AUS dollars but almost double for them in Austrailia?

CC leathers at lake Munmorah NSW sell their own home brand of fully lined Kevlar jeans not just knees and backside for A$200 I have 2 pairs and they are hot in the summer but nice and warm in the winter ,he outsources them from you guessed it China but they are well made and look like slightly thick jeans,

Likes been said it's about wearability in my book .. Draggin Slicks are like wearing normal jeans just about. No point having leathers/thick riding pants hanging in a cupboard .. i know .. i've got a great pair of Collins leather pants i probably wear 6 times a year.

It's a PITA getting motorcycle protective gear on before you ride and a pair of Kevlar jeans ,leather jacket and good gloves is what I prefer, My bigger brother gave me a Dainese Auro full leather riding suit as he grew out of it (it was too tight in the first place 6'5 280 Lb) but the just pooped your pants look was not for me so I have only worn them now and again to stir him up ,
