CES exhaust observations

It's not financially viable to get them acid dipped and then sandblasted then get them dismantled cleaned and repaired and then recoated again.

Sorry to hear that Mal ,I was tempted to go the CES route when I heard yours and the other guys bikes at RDU but I have sort of bin der dun dat! with previous bikes with after market exhausts ,and decided to stick close to stock ie TORS and stock plumbers pipes I will go the exhaust box delete pipe but that closely follows the stock fitment ,I hope CES comes good for you because they do sound great,
Cheers

Rebands , being 3 separate header pipes don't suffer the problem Malcy has encountered. Happy with the Rebands i'm running .. just a plug as CES been flavor of the month for quite a few months now.

I hope so too as too Mike. They are a good thing and I am inclined to think as Richard has " the one that got away". Please don't let my unfortunate episode deter you or anyone from purchasing them.
Shirt does happen from time to time.

Unfortunately mine had developed a noisy leak at the collector so I have removed them. Not been ridden since RDU last year. :(
Is this leak in the collector a welding issue? or just a slip joint issue?
If a slip joint issue ---- May just require some hi-temp silicone.

Sorry guys been busy at work. Centre edges of the three pipes going into the collector. A tight area that cannot be reached by much that's for sure once they are welded.

it is an area that would normally pulling tight due to the metal shrinkage that occurs when the assessable areas of the joint are welded.
Incidentally mine do not leak and the slip joints that Trev made between the header and my StainTune mufflers are a tight fit to the point I had trouble to get the mufflers on (a very snug fit rquiring some drfting with a a wooden block) and after several thousand kilometres there is absolutely no leaks anywhere with only the one single exhaust gaskets at the head and no clamps needed anywhere
