A word on heat...I, like Bull, am not overly bothered by the heat issue and it definitely wouldn't put me off installing these pipes on the bike. When Steel and I went to see the dyno man I watched that poor b@stard do multiple runs on three bikes...in SHORTS. His right leg was lobster red from mid-thigh to just above his ankle. Until I get some idea how I want to do heat shields a couple of bandanas tied around my calf works fine...keeps my jeans off the pipes and gives a little extra insulation...problem solved for the moment. I will be ordering another set of pipes in the very near future for the '09 I just bought

Nothing really to add to what I already posted. Noticeable improvement in low to mid range, revs easier and no increase in heat that I've noticed. Fact there are no heat shields means they are hot to touch (of course).

Very easy to lift the wheel now,Gets sideways easy,My last pipes where hot hot nothing wrong with these pipes,easy peasy fitting with my model need ten mm washers on brake resevoir to keep them away from the pipe,good torque and power but have not been out of the city,people keep staring must look good mmmmm they look awesome,and as of tomorrow have a chance to get out of the city going to have a crack at my mates turbo v rod will see how I go and have my new screen and belly pan

Your mate with the turboed v_rod. Was that a black bike set at 165 hp.

180 can be tuned up to 220 but not for long
